Lada Granta

Now the Lada Granta is one of them rigs you just flat out dont see rollin around Norway. Which is a dang shame, if you ask me. Most Norwegians hear the name Lada and figure it is some rough and tumble Soviet leftover with more rattles than a toolbox in the back of a farm truck.

But here is the kicker most folks dont realize. Underneath all that badge talk, it is basically kin to the same bloodline as Dacia, Renault, and even Datsun from Nissan Motor Co. Same bones, same nuts and bolts, just wearin different hats to the rodeo.

Renault and Nissan have been sellin plenty of iron up in Norway for years, and that Dacia Duster well shoot that thing has gotten popular as a four wheel drive runabout. Folks seem real proud of em too. But you hardly ever spot a Dacia Logan or a Renault Logan out on the road, and them newer Datsun Go and Datsun On Do models well they might as well be ghost stories cause they just aint there.

Truth is the Lada Granta is pretty much the same critter underneath, and I reckon they are cooler than folks give em credit for. Simple, honest, built to do the job without puttin on airs.

I sure do wish more Norwegians would start importin these rigs Lada, Datsun, Dacia, Renault the whole gang. Would make the streets a whole lot more interestin, and that right there would be mighty fine by me.
