Lada Oka, Lada Samara & Lada 110 & Lada 2110 series!


Lada Oka: This little car could be set up as an electric vehicle or modified with special handicap features.

You could even custom order one built just for ya if you were missin’ a left leg or a right leg.

I reckon it could also be fixed up if you had issues with your left or right arm. That’s mighty curious, though, considerin’ these cars weren’t exactly known for bein’ safe, not by a long shot.

The most excitin’ thing was, no doubt, that you could get it as an electric car, and for a Lada, it was downright modern when it rolled out back in 1988—at least in terms of the design.

Now, the Lada 110 and the 2110 series—those were somethin’ else. Lada used ‘em for racin’, and they made some mighty fine street cars when they hit the scene in 1995


Lada Samara: Now, this one wasn’t quite as modern, but for Lada standards, it sure had a fresh look when it debuted back in 1984.

By the late ‘90s, they gave it a facelift to make it a bit more up-to-date. Fun fact: only one of these facelifted models was sold brand-new in Norway in 1999, makin’ it the last Lada sold by the original importer in Norway.

Just after the turn of the millennium and right before production wrapped up in 2004, they gave it another facelift, though that one didn’t stick around long either. There’s still one of these runnin’ around today in Sørkedalen, Oslo, sportin’ Gjøvik plates.

Now here’s somethin’ wild: Lada actually raced a special version of the Samara in the Dakar Rally, callin’ it the Lada Samara T3. And get this—the T3 had a Porsche engine under the hood, no less than one from the legendary Porsche 959! That was some serious engineering for its time.

I once heard a Russian fella say, “That Lada, it’s got a Porsche motor!” And honestly, it don’t get much cooler than that.

Fiat Strada Renault Express/Renault Kangoo Volkswagen Caddy

Fiat Strada. This here rig comes in two flavors: the older models are tiny lil' pickups — real small, but scrappy. The newer ones, up to about five years old, are more like big ol' Isuzu Troopers or Toyota Hilux trucks — real workhorses, built tough for the long haul. You can trick these babies out real nice, slap on some chrome, lift the suspension, add a light bar — make ’em look mean and mighty fine. And get this: 'bout ten years back, Fiat went and bought out the whole dang Chrysler group. Yup, the whole enchilada. These days, a lotta their rides look a whole lot like Chryslers and Dodges. Lada 1500 concept and Lada 1500 3G and 4G street cars

Below, you’ll find a picture of the Lada 1500 concept along with a sporty version of the Lada 1500 above. Unfortunately, the concept car never made it into production. The Lada 1500 3G and 4G are more akin to classic cars than true modern street cars, as they are built on a Fiat model from the 1960s. Lada launched its last versions of these models in 1979 and 1982. By that time, Lada had already produced two versions of the Fiat 1500, based on models from the 1950s and 60s, earlier in the 1970s.
